SNAP TRAP MONITORING
In the snap trap monitoring mode, TOM is placed on a tunnel or box with snap traps. As soon as an animal enters the tunnel/box, pictures are taken.
These are initially taken with infrared light to not scare the animals. If a catch is obtained, a picture is taken with white light to make it easier to identify the animal.
This way, you can assess not only the catch itself, but also the situation before it.

MOVEMENT DETECTION
In the motion detection mode, TOM is attached to empty tunnels, boxes, cable tunnels and ventilation shafts and takes a picture after motion is detected.
The motion detection works with PIR sensors (= passive infrared sensor) that measure temperature changes. The picture is taken with infrared LEDs to not scare the rodents.

For insect monitoring, TOM is placed on or in insect traps and takes pictures at user-defined intervals.
