Audit day

The auditor asks. You show.

IFS Food, BRCGS and FSSC 22000 require the same thing at this point: a complete history instead of a list of spot checks. That is exactly what the system generates as you work.

Hygiene zones

From goods receiving to the high-hygiene zone

Five areas, one history. Select a zone to see where the stations are.

  1. Permanent bait often used to be placed across the entire area here. Now every station reports on its own.

  2. Raw goods come in from outside and are stored here. The history shows whether things stay quiet.

  3. Lots of niches around the equipment, raw material residues. Every station reports every day.

  4. Smooth, wipeable housings, compatible with common cleaning agents and disinfectants.

  5. The last station before the customer. An incident here affects the finished batch.

BAuA requirements since July 2026

What the auditor wants to see instead of permanent bait

The requirements of the BAuA (German Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) keep getting stricter: since July 2026, the preventive use of poison bait has been severely restricted. In raw material storage, production and outdoor areas, permanent bait is still often placed across the entire area today, and that is exactly where its basis no longer exists. Poison-free monitoring still meets the documentation requirement after this change.

Frequently asked questions

FAQ: Digital pest management in food production

Why is digital pest control especially worthwhile in food production?

In food production, a single rodent incident determines batch release, a recall or the loss of a brand customer. Manual inspections in raw material storage, production, packaging and outdoor areas are time-consuming and do not provide complete documentation between inspections. With JERRY CATCH as a digital snap trap and JERRY BAIT as a digital bait scale, you monitor every critical point 24/7. Alerts go to QA and production only when activity is actually detected, and the audit log grows along with it at no extra effort.

Is the hardware suitable for raw material storage, production, high-hygiene areas and packaging?

JERRY CATCH and JERRY BAIT are made of smooth, wipeable materials and are compatible with the cleaning agents and disinfectants commonly used in food production. They can be used in goods receiving and raw material storage, milling and mixing areas, low- and high-hygiene zones, packaging, finished goods storage, staff rooms, and outdoor areas and loading docks. Resistant to heat, cold and moisture, suitable for dry and wet production environments. They are protected against water and dust. The battery level and radio connection of every station are monitored continuously: if one fails, you get an alert.

How does data transmission work in large production halls?

Stainless steel tanks, conveyor belts, CIP systems and high-bay racks interfere with conventional Wi-Fi sensors. traplinked uses LoRaWAN, a dedicated radio network on the plant premises with long range, good wall penetration and a fraction of the energy consumption. JERRY CATCH and JERRY BAIT transmit independently of your IT and without interfering with MES, scales or label printers. One central dashboard covers all sites and hygiene zones. Even in densely built factories, the traps send their alerts reliably and securely straight to your traplinked App.

How does traplinked support IFS Food, BRCGS, FSSC 22000 and customer audits?

IFS Food, BRCGS and FSSC 22000 require the same thing at this point: a complete history instead of a list of spot checks, plus proof that every anomaly was responded to. That is exactly what is created as you work, not afterwards at the desk. The software automatically logs every alert, every battery change and every maintenance task: a time stamp for each event, the response with the person responsible, the station location plan. For the audit, you export the history for the desired period with one click and present it.

How does traplinked help with the ban on permanent baiting?

The requirements of the BAuA (German Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) keep getting stricter: since July 2026, the preventive use of poison bait has been severely restricted. In raw material storage, production and outdoor areas, permanent bait is still often placed across the entire area today, and that is exactly where its basis no longer exists. Poison-free monitoring still meets the documentation requirement after this change. Food producers must switch to poison-free (non-tox) monitoring. With our digital snap traps, you can bring your facility into legal compliance today. You avoid unnecessary poison, protect livestock from secondary poisoning and at the same time meet animal welfare requirements, because every catch is reported immediately and the trap can be emptied promptly.
