The system consists of remotely monitored snap traps and bait stations as well as camera modules used for pest monitoring at industrial sites. The hardware reports its status to a central app: catch detected, bait gnawed, battery low. Inspection rounds by the calendar become inspection rounds as needed: you go to the station that reports something, not down the list.
This changes two roles at once. The pest controller saves trips and gains an overview, transparency and a real data basis: they know at any time what is going on at their sites. Legal change 2026
The end of BUD affects both sides
The German Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA) is letting the exemption for BUD, permanent baiting with biocides regardless of infestation, expire. For pest controllers, this means the previous way of working needs a long-term alternative. For businesses, it means checking even more closely how their own service provider works, because they are liable during inspections.
